• I’ve always been intrigued by products. Not only how they assist us or what they look like but especially how they make us feel.

My work stems from a passion for human interaction, behaviour, and psychology. I aim to bridge the product and user gap through human-centered design and multi-sensorial experiences. I use design as a tool to enable the possibilities of technology and to open doors, previously seen as walls.

Sustainability is at the core of what I do. I always set out to balance sustainable material choices, timeless aesthetics, and a clear plan for the product life cycle to ensure long-lasting design and innovation.

Have a look around my space and don’t hesitate to reach out!

    Best,
    Martin

  • DESIGN CONSULTING, 2023 - PRESENT

For the past year I have assisted on various projects within consumer electronics, home decor, UX-design, 3D visualisations, and more.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER, ELEIKO GROUP, SWEDEN 2020 - PRESENT

I am currently leading the Industrial Design practice at ELEIKO, a world-renowned fitness equipment company based in Halmstad, Sweden. Designing and developing precision-crafted strength equipment with a focus on Scandinavian simplicity and performance. My main task is to create and maintain a company-unique visual voice throughout the product range. A special focus on human interaction and cognitive ergonomics.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER, FROLIC STUDIO, AMSTERDAM 2018 - 2019 (6 months)

During my internship at Frolic Studio, my main focus came to be on design sprints, rapid prototyping, and development. Working in a small studio taught me loads about the client-consultant relationship and how to sell my ideas. I was involved in product development, design sprints, client meetings, sketching, 3D modeling, user research, visual communication, supplier visits, and of course interesting discussions about life around the lunch table.

CMF & PRODUCT DESIGN, PHILIPS, AMSTERDAM 2018 (7 months)

During my internship at Philips, my main tasks included material and trend research and implementation, sketching, textile design, 3D modeling, and rendering. I gained a lot of knowledge about sustainable, material-driven design and the processes of a large corporation. My final internship project was to create a range of air purifiers based on the existing CMF guidelines. Actively merging Industrial Design and CMF, allowing CMF to be the driving force for form.

  • INDUSTRIAL DESIGN BFA - LUND UNIVERSITY, SWEDEN 2016-2020

Bachelor’s Education in Industrial Design with a significant focus on the physical design process, from sketching to physical mockups and functional prototypes - along with 3D modeling and printing. Being part of a large technical university I also gained knowledge in mechanical design, architecture, and art. The mix of those disciplines summarizes my interest and approach to my professional design practice.

HUMAN ECOLOGY - LUND UNIVERSITY, SWEDEN 2016

My interest in sustainability and nature is what drew me toward the study of human ecology. To understand our relationship to nature historically and how to use that knowledge in a rapidly changing world.

SPACE, SCENEGRAPHY & LANDSCAPE - LUND UNIVERSITY, SWEDEN 2015

I felt an urge to deepen my knowledge within the world of arts before entering a bachelor’s degree in design. This course gave me insight into the use of light and shadow, negative space, model making, form explorations, various materials and techniques, and a lot more. Most of all it gave me a profound introduction to various ideation techniques used by designers, architects, and artists.

PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY - LUND UNIVERSITY, SWEDEN 2015

My interest in human behavior and the human mind has existed for as long as I can recall. My study in philosophy deepened my understanding of philosophical history and especially my interest in human behavior - creating a clear bridge to my future design studies.

TECHNICAL DESIGN & PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT - ARANÄS GYMNASIUM, SWEDEN 2009-2012

I built a solid understanding of product development and design through arts, woodworking, mathematics, philosophy, and physics studies.
